Information for eAuthors
Since our last book in print was launched in 1994, gangan.com occasionally publishes authors online on a non-profit basis. Ten years in business turned into a hobby. Fully aware that publishing a manuscript on the Internet will never replace beautifully printed and bound copies, it serves merely as an aid to generate interest, thus complementing a future print publication.
Authors who feel at home within our site are invited to submit a synopsis to ebooks@gangan.com together with a brief bibliography. Please check file formats with us before submitting a manuscript. When needed, we can provide professional editing, translation, design and production services.
Please note that we do not accept material previously published online, as duplicates don’t make sense. However, material first published in print is OK, as long as the publisher consents. We will cite print publication details and expect in return on later publications of your work a citation like “First published online on gangan.com.” We install “print run” counters on each book to analyse readers’ interest.
With your submission you grant gangan.com the non-exclusive right of communication to the public, all rights remain with you. See also copyright. As gangan.com operates non-profit, publication is royalty free and free on its own Website only. If this exposure leads to a print contract, we would receive a 10% commission of the royalties paid to you as your literary agent.
However, if your work would be used in its digital form on media like CD-ROM for sale by a commercial publisher we reserve the right to negotiate a fair fee for our efforts.
Hinweise für AutorInnen
Seit unser letztes Buch 1994 gedruckt wurde, veröffentlicht gangan.com gelegentlich und kostenlos AutorInnen online. Zehn Jahre Buchverlag wurde zur Liebhaberei. Das heisst allerdings nicht, dass verlegen am Netz jemals das schön gedruckte and gebundene Buch ersetzen wird. Es dient vielmehr als Ergänzung oder Vorläufer der Papierversion, um Interesse am Werk zu wecken.
Autorinnen und Autoren die sich bei uns zuhause fühlen sind eingeladen, eine Zusammenfassung an ebooks@gangan.com mit einer knappen Biografie einzureichen. Bitte kontaktiere uns betreffend Dateiformaten. Wenn erforderlich, bieten wir Lektorats-, Übersetzungs-, Gestaltungs- und Produktionsdienste.
Bitte beachte, dass wir kein Material akzeptieren, das bereits online veröffentlicht ist. Eine gedruckte Veröffentlichung ist jedoch OK, solange der Verleger einverstanden ist und wir eine Quellenangabe machen. Bei weiteren Veröffentlichungen erwarten wir dafür die Angabe “Erstveröffentlicht online bei gangan.com.” Wir setzen “Auflagenzähler” in jedes Buch zur Analyse des Leserinteresses.
Mit deiner Einreichung gewährst du gangan.com das nichtexklusive Recht zur Verbreitung deines Werkes, alle Urheberrechte verbleiben bei dir. Siehe auch Copyright. Veröffentlichungen auf der Homepage sind honorarfrei. Sollte unsere Veröffentlichung zu einem Verlagsvertrag führen, würden uns als Vermittler 10% der Tantiemen zustehen.
Würdest du allerdings das Werk in dieser digitalen Form einem kommerziellen Verlag zum Verkauf auf einem Medium wie einer CD-ROM anbieten, behalten wir uns das Recht vor, für unsere Arbeit einen fairen Preis zu vereinbaren.
